Dear Martha,

I’ve been meaning to write you to thank you for the wonderful work you did with my wedding flowers. The flowers were absolutely fresh and smelled wonderful. Many of my guests commented on the arrangements and inquired who did them. The silk hairpieces you made for my bridesmaids looked beautiful and complimented their dresses perfectly. I also can’t thank you enough for making me a “second” bouquet at almost last minute for my formal pictures. I am enclosing two pictures which show the bouquets and the pedestal flowers (try to ignore my bridesmaids who closed their eyes). As soon as I get my proofs back from the inlaws, I’ll get some copies of the “better” prints. I have to tell you that one of the nicest compliments you received came from my mother-in-law (who can be difficult to please); she told me that she had never seen wedding flowers that were as gorgeous and as fresh smelling as mine.
